Court Sets October 31 for Judgment on Suit to Halt PDP National Convention

The Federal High Court in Abuja has fixed October 31, 2025, for judgment on a suit filed by individuals including Austin Nwachukwu and Amah Nnanna seeking to stop the PDP National Convention. The plaintiffs argue that no valid congress was held in 14 states, violating the law and INEC's supervision.

The court ordered the party to maintain the status quo and warned against violating pending decisions. Legal counsels Joseph Daudu and Paul Erokoro defended the party's internal processes, urging the court to dismiss the case.

The matter will continue to be heard with the next session scheduled for judgment.
