Ekiti Court Remands 18-Year-Old for Alleged Toddler Rape

An 18-year-old man, Solomon Sunday, was remanded by the Chief Magistrate Court in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State, for allegedly raping a toddler. The court ordered Sunday to be held in a Correctional Centre for defiling the child, an offense punishable under the Child Rights Law of Ekiti State.

The prosecutor stated that there was probable cause to remand the defendant, who is suspected of committing the crime. The case was adjourned for further proceedings, awaiting legal advice from the Director of Public Prosecution.
