Kwara PDP chieftain, Esinrogunjo in fresh trouble, faces trial over alleged rape of 15-yr-old girl

Kwara State PDP chieftain, Comrade Abdulmumini Musbau Esinrogunjo, is facing trial for the alleged rape of a 15-year-old girl in his office. Plans are in place to arraign him in the Kwara State High Court, with the case awaiting assignment by the Chief Judge.

Esinrogunjo, a grassroots politician, was dragged to court following a petition from the Department of State Services and the Global Hope Women and Children Foundation seeking justice for the assaulted girl. The charge reveals that he allegedly committed the crime in his office in Ilorin, Kwara State, after luring the victim from her Quranic class.

The prosecution team, led by the Ministry of Justice, has six witnesses prepared to testify, along with medical reports and the girl's birth certificate as evidence. Esinrogunjo is expected to face trial soon.
