Thierry Henry, a former Arsenal striker, and Micah Richards, a former Manchester City defender, condemned Gianluca Prestianni of Benfica for allegedly racially abusing Real Madrid's Vinicius Junior. This incident reportedly occurred during the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 playoff first leg, where Real Madrid secured a 1-0 victory against Benfica.

During a discussion on CBS Sports Golazo, Henry challenged Prestianni to openly address his comments, implying that he had not spoken up about the incident. Richards labeled Prestianni a "coward" for not confronting the situation directly.

Following the allegations, UEFA has initiated an investigation into the matter to address the claims of racial abuse.
