Minister Emphasizes Creative Sector's Role in Economic Growth at Entertainment Industry Meeting

Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, emphasized the critical role of the creative sector in fostering economic growth during a meeting with leaders of the entertainment industry in Nigeria. He praised the vibrancy and economic relevance of the sector, particularly acknowledging the contributions of the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), led by President Bolaji Amusan, popularly known as Mr.

Latin. The Minister reaffirmed the government's commitment to supporting the creative sector for talent development and economic expansion, recognizing its unmatched influence in the entertainment industry.

The meeting, held in Abuja, aimed to strengthen collaboration between the government and creative industry stakeholders to enhance national development. Mr.

Latin, in turn, lauded the Minister's initiatives and expressed pride in TAMPAN's recognition as the Man of the Year during a national summit. Plans for the World Theatre Day in March 2027 were also discussed, highlighting the importance of security measures, especially in border areas.
