Binani Allies Resign from ADC in Adamawa State Crisis

A crisis has emerged within the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Adamawa State as allies of Binani have announced their mass resignation from the party. This decision was communicated through a statement issued after a stakeholders' meeting held at the residence of Hon. Mijiyewa Umaru Kugama.

The group, which includes representatives from the three senatorial zones of the state, accused the party's leadership of undermining democratic principles and failing to adhere to a court order regarding an existing injunction. They declared the outcomes of the recent party congress null and void and expressed a lack of confidence in the party leadership.

The stakeholders confirmed their intention to align with a new political platform, although they did not specify which party. This move is part of a strategy to unify political efforts ahead of the 2027 elections, with Binani expected to play a significant role in the gubernatorial race.

The communique also outlined plans for grassroots mobilization across various electoral units.
