Crisis in ADC as Atiku's Sons Create Rival Factions

A crisis has emerged within the ADC party as a power struggle involving the sons of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has resulted in a split into rival camps. The rift reportedly stems from Adamu Mohammed Atiku's interest in contesting for the House of Representatives seat in the Jada, Ganye, Toungo, and Mayo Belwa federal constituency.

Sources indicate that the two brothers have created parallel factions, destabilizing the party's structure and weakening the authority of the chairman, Shehu Yohanna. The transition committee, led by Barrister Sadiq Ibrahim Dasin, is alleged to have sabotaged Atiku's presidential ambitions, which has been described as a baseless political weapon against the party leadership.

The internal wrangling has already taken a toll on party cohesion, with notable figures like Babachir David Lawal distancing themselves from Atiku amid the escalating crisis. Additionally, Abdulaziz Nyako is reportedly considering returning to the APC to avoid further entanglement in the conflict.
