ADC Leadership Crisis: PRP Invites Opposition Leaders

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) is currently experiencing a significant leadership crisis, which Lagos State chairman Jame Adeshina described as a threat to opposition cohesion in Nigeria's political landscape. In an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday, Adeshina, who is also a former chairman of the Lagos State Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC), emphasized the need for strong unity among opposition leaders, including Atiku Abubakar, Rauf Aregbesola, Peter Obi, and Rabiu Kwankwaso, to address the ongoing internal disputes within the ADC.

He noted that the ADC's struggles reflect deeper issues within Nigeria's opposition politics, especially at a time when the nation requires a united front to safeguard democracy. Adeshina urged stakeholders to collaborate rather than compete, suggesting that the People's Redemption Party (PRP) could provide a stable alternative platform.

He expressed optimism about the PRP's electoral prospects for the 2027 presidential elections, highlighting the necessity of consolidating strength among credible leaders to challenge the status quo.
