Cross River Begins Crackdown On Illegal Schools

The Cross River State Ministry of Education has initiated a crackdown on illegal and unaccredited schools across the state, with Commissioner Senator Stephen Odey leading the charge. In an interactive session, Odey highlighted the ministry's efforts to ensure that all schools in the state meet global best practices.

He also mentioned the ministry's success in generating N220 million between September 2023 and November 2024, surpassing revenue targets. Odey emphasized the importance of collaboration with the National Senior Secondary Education Commission for teacher retraining and sustaining reforms in the education sector.
