Cross River Gov’t To Honour 52 Workers

The Cross River State Government is set to honor 52 workers with excellence awards as part of efforts to boost productivity and recognize hard work. Governor Bassey Otu aims to encourage workers to increase their level of productivity, accountability, and transparency through these awards.

The Head of Service, Innocent Eteng, revealed that the awards are meant to motivate staff and bring out their best. The theme of the Civil Service Day celebration organized by the state government is efficient service delivery.

Eteng emphasized that the selection process for the awards is based on merit and not influenced by ethnic, tribal, or religious sentiments. He assured that workers who have not yet been promoted will receive automatic promotions, as the Governor has directed the immediate implementation of these promotions.
