Leadership Failures Fuel Ongoing Crisis in Obubra

Barr Enama Clement Cyprian, a lawyer and political aspirant for the Obubra 1 State Constituency, has highlighted the persistent communal crisis in Obubra, Cross River State, as a result of leadership failures. He stated that the recent violent clashes between communities, which left dozens dead and hundreds displaced, are indicative of a deeper issue within the local leadership.

Cyprian criticized previous leaders, including the late Chief John Oyom Okpa, for their inability to manage the community effectively, leading to a cycle of violence. He called for a reorganization of leadership to restore control and stability in Obubra, asserting that quality representation is essential for addressing the ongoing conflicts.

Cyprian's mission is to tackle the decay in leadership and bring an end to the bloodshed that has plagued the region for years.
