Cross River State and World Bank Collaborate to Empower Primary School Teachers

The Cross River State Government, in partnership with the World Bank, has initiated a training program aimed at enhancing pedagogical practices for primary school teachers in English and Mathematics. The three-day workshop, led by Professor Stephen Odei, focuses on improving education outcomes by addressing the learning deficit among students.

The program involves continuous training at the Teacher Continuous Training Institute (TCTI) in Ikom and Ogoja, emphasizing the development of competent faculty members to deliver quality teaching. The initiative seeks to tackle the high rate of learning deprivation among children in the state, with a focus on strengthening the foundational skills of teachers.
