Nigerians Urged to Adjust Spending Amid Economic Pressures

Tope Fasua, the Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Economic Affairs, addressed Nigerians regarding the need to adjust their spending patterns due to increasing economic pressures. During a video exchange at a coffee hangout organized by the Kai Hiker Club in Abuja, Fasua responded to concerns about the rising cost of living and insecurity.

He acknowledged that while prices have risen, Nigerians must manage their resources effectively and adopt disciplined spending habits. Fasua argued that the situation in Nigeria is not as severe as portrayed and urged citizens to avoid exaggerating the challenges.

He highlighted the importance of adjusting to economic realities, stating that basic food items have become unaffordable for many. Fasua also mentioned that the government cannot meet every expectation and that individuals must develop survival strategies to improve their economic resilience despite broader national challenges.
