Tinubu's Aide: Families Can Survive on ₦10,000 for Days

Fasua, an economic adviser to President Bola Tinubu, made comments during a discussion at a coffee hangout organized by the Kai Hiker Club in Abuja. He advised Nigerians that a family can manage to live on ₦10,000 for several days, urging them to adjust their spending patterns to match their income amid rising economic pressures.

Fasua insisted that households should cut their expenses according to their financial capabilities. He acknowledged the rising prices affecting basic needs and the declining purchasing power of Nigerians, particularly women, who are struggling to afford essential food items.

Despite these challenges, he emphasized the importance of adopting disciplined spending habits and managing resources effectively, while also warning that the government cannot meet every expectation of its citizens, necessitating adjustments to economic realities.
