Doris Ogala's Cyberbullying Arraignment Postponed Again

Doris Ogala, a 34-year-old actress, had her arraignment at the Federal High Court in Lagos postponed again due to health issues. This is the second time she has failed to appear for charges filed against her on April 24, 2026, concerning cyberbullying and extortion of Pastor Chris Okafor.

Her former counsel, Temiloluwa Akindayini, informed the court that Ogala underwent surgery, preventing her attendance. On the latest court date, her current counsel, N.

C. Atulomah, stated that she was receiving treatment at a federal medical center.

The prosecution, represented by Tolulop Mokolu, expressed concerns over the repeated adjournments but reluctantly consented to the request for postponement. The court noted a medical report indicating Ogala had been discharged from the hospital, raising questions about her health claims, especially since she had participated in political campaign activities recently.

Justice Akintayo Aluko adjourned the matter until October 28, 2026, warning that if Ogala does not appear again, a bench warrant may be issued. She faces charges under the Cybercrime (Prohibition, Prevention, etc.) Amendment Act 2024 for allegedly publishing intimate materials of Pastor Okafor without consent.
