Dabiri-Erewa Celebrates Anosike's NBL Historic Clean Sweep

On April 25, Abik Dabiri-Erewa, the Chief of the Nigerian Diaspora Commission, commended Ejimofor Anosike for his remarkable accomplishments in the China National Basketball League (NBL) 2026 season. Anosike made history by becoming the first player in the league's history to sweep major individual awards.

His accolades include the 2026 NBL Championship Final MVP, the 2026 Regular Season Scoring Leader, the 2024 Best International Player, and selections for the 2025 and 2026 All-Star games, as well as winning the 2026 Slam Dunk title. Dabiri-Erewa highlighted that Anosike's achievements reflect the resilience and discipline of Nigerians and serve as an inspiration to young Nigerians, especially aspiring athletes.

Furthermore, a statement was issued by Nigeria's President Bola Ahmed Tinubu through his special adviser, Bayo Onanuga, acknowledging this significant milestone.
