Tinubu Praises Ejimofor Anosike After NBL Championship Win

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu commended Nigerian-American basketball player Ejimofor Anosike following his significant achievement in leading the Hong Kong Bulls to victory in the 2026 National Basketball League Championship. Anosike's performance was highlighted by his receipt of three individual honors, including the Final Valuable Player award, the Best International Player award, and the Slam Dunk Champion title.

In a statement issued on Saturday, April 25, Special Adviser on Strategic Communication, Bayo Onanuga, conveyed Tinubu's pride in Anosike's accomplishments, which he described as an inspiration for young athletes across Africa. Despite his success abroad, Tinubu praised Anosike's continued commitment to the Nigerian national basketball team, the D'Tigers, and expressed hope for even greater milestones in the future.

Anosike holds dual Nigerian-American citizenship and remains a regular feature in the national basketball team.
