Dangote Group Denies Refinery Financing Claims

The Dangote Group, led by Aliko Dangote, has issued a statement denying claims about the financing of the Dangote Petroleum Refinery and a purported rift with business leader Tony Elumelu. The group's Chief Brand Communications Officer, Tony Chiejina, clarified that neither Dangote nor the group made any claims regarding financing through personal loans or lending arrangements.

The statement described the claims as inaccurate and a deliberate misrepresentation of facts. Furthermore, the Dangote Group emphasized that there is no rift between Dangote and Elumelu, highlighting their long-standing cordial relationship.

The group expressed concern over the growing trend of fabricating statements using its name and warned that such actions could pose reputational risks and potentially constitute fraud. They cautioned individuals involved in creating and disseminating false information to cease immediately and indicated that appropriate legal action would be pursued to protect their reputation and leadership.
