Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, known as Davido, disclosed the deep-rooted relationship between his family and billionaire businessman Aliko Dangote during an interview in Lagos. Davido recounted that Dangote was closely associated with his family long before his rise as a prominent businessman, stating, “Aliko Dangote drove my mom home from the hospital when she gave birth to me.” This personal connection illustrates the enduring friendship between Dangote and Davido's father, Adedeji Adeleke.

Throughout his life, Davido has received financial advice from Dangote, particularly the consistent message to save money and manage finances wisely. Davido noted that this advice has been a staple since his childhood and remains relevant as he navigates his successful music career.
