Dangote Group Exceeds 57M Barrels in Jet Fuel Exports

Dangote Group's refinery has achieved over 57 million barrels in jet fuel exports, with significant fluctuations in monthly shipments from April 2024 to April 2026. Initial exports began at 20,000 barrels per day (bpd) in April 2024, rising sharply to around 70,000 bpd in May and peaking at approximately 160,000 bpd in April 2026.

The data from energy intelligence platform Kpler indicates that Africa received the largest share of these exports, totaling an estimated 23 million barrels, followed by Europe with 17 million barrels and America with around 11 million barrels. The refinery's operations have positioned it as a key supplier in the international aviation fuel market, with Europe emerging as a significant destination for exports, absorbing roughly half of the volume in early April 2026.

Despite domestic jet fuel demand in Nigeria standing at just 13,000 bpd, Dangote's exports reached around 100,000 bpd in March 2026. The refinery continues to expand its footprint in the market.
