Dangote Executive Honored for Advancing Nigeria's Refining Capacity

Devakumar Edwin, an executive at Dangote Industries Limited, received the Person of the Year award at the 9th Annual Award Lecture organized by Daily Asset newspaper for his role in advancing Nigeria's refining capacity. The event, attended by government officials, industry leaders, and media executives in Abuja, recognized Edwin's stewardship at Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals.

Dr. Cletu Akwaya commended Edwin for his transparency, stakeholder engagement, and effective corporate communication strategies that have helped shape public understanding of the refinery's operations. The award highlighted Edwin's instrumental role in transforming Dangote Refinery into the largest single-train refinery globally, contributing to Nigeria's energy security and economic growth.

Dangote Group reiterated its commitment to supporting Nigeria's energy security and domestic refining capacity. Other notable award recipients included Dr. Zacch Adedeji and Alhaji Abatcha Bishara.
