Dangote Accuses NMDPRA CEO of Corruption and Economic Sabotage in Nigeria

Aliko Dangote, CEO of Dangote Industries Limited, has accused Farouk Ahmed, CEO of the Nigerian Midstream Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), of spending exorbitant amounts on his children's education in Switzerland. Dangote alleges that Ahmed's children attended expensive schools beyond their means, totaling around N7 billion spent on education.

Additionally, Dangote accuses Ahmed of economic sabotage and collusion with international traders to hinder local refineries. The ongoing dispute involves issues related to Dangote's refinery operations in Lagos and the issuance of import licenses for petroleum products.

The NMDPRA denies any wrongdoing, stating that local refineries still need to import fuel to meet Nigeria's consumption demands.
