Dangote Refinery Raises Petrol Price to ₦1,175 per Litre

Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced an increase in the price of petrol to ₦1,175 per litre. This adjustment comes after the refinery temporarily paused sales to reconcile stock levels and update its pricing framework.

Previously, the price of premium motor spirit (PMS) was ₦1,075 per litre as of March 10, 2026. The refinery's decision to raise prices is directly influenced by a recent increase in global crude oil prices, which have risen to approximately $91 to $100 per barrel for Brent crude.

The refinery is expected to resume sales at an average price of ₦1,100 per litre immediately after the pause in transactions. This price adjustment reflects the ongoing fluctuations in the global oil market and its impact on local fuel pricing.
