Dangote Refinery Raises Petrol Price to ₦1,245 Per Litre

Dangote Refinery has announced a new petrol price of ₦1,245 per litre, which will take effect at 12:00 AM on March 21, 2026. This increase marks a rise of ₦70 per litre from the previous rate.

The refinery has attributed this price adjustment to persistent global geopolitical tensions that continue to impact crude oil prices and supply chains. Additionally, the coastal supply price has been set at ₦1,606,518 per metric ton, with a previous rate of ₦1,512,648.

The refinery has indicated that this new pricing structure will apply to outstanding unload volumes, and customs are required to settle price differences arising from this adjustment by March 23, 2026. The latest price hike is expected to exert additional pressure on fuel prices across the country, potentially impacting transportation costs and inflation.
