Dangote Refinery Increases Petrol Price to N275 per Liter

Dangote Refinery has officially confirmed an increase in the ex-depot price of premium motor spirit (petrol) by N1.275 per liter, bringing the new price to N275 per liter. This adjustment is attributed to operational changes, including a temporary suspension of the refinery's proforma invoicing system, which has disrupted normal sales activities.

The price change has been reported to follow a rise in coastal supply prices, which have increased to N215 per liter, according to industry data. Traders in the market have expressed concerns that this increase in petrol prices could lead to higher fuel costs across the country.

The situation is compounded by rising global crude oil prices, which continue to exert pressure on refining import costs worldwide.
