Dangote Launches N100bn Scholarship Scheme for Nigerian Students

Alhaji Aliko Dangote, through the Dangote Group, introduced a N100 billion yearly scholarship program to enhance access to education for Nigerian students. The initiative, set to begin in 2026, aims to support 45,000 students in its first year and scale up to 155,000 beneficiaries annually by the fourth year.

Dangote's goal is to ensure financial constraints do not hinder the educational aspirations of young Nigerians. The program will provide tuition support for various academic programs, benefiting a total of 1.3 million students by 2036.

Dangote also highlighted the importance of collaboration and partnerships in achieving impactful humanitarian efforts, referencing joint initiatives with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
