Davido Criticized for Missing Soso Soberekon's Wedding

Afrobeats star Davido has come under fire on social media for his absence at the wedding of Soso Soberekon, a billionaire music executive and his associate, which took place last weekend in Warri, Delta State. Notably absent from the ceremony, Davido did not share any congratulatory messages or photos of the couple on his social media platforms.

Instead, he posted about his trip to Dubai with his crew and the upcoming governorship election in Osun State. This prompted criticism from many Nigerians, including comedian DeeOne, who expressed disappointment, stating that Davido should have shown more appreciation for Soberekon’s past support.

DeeOne remarked that Davido's absence indicated jealousy over Soberekon's wealth. Additionally, Ossai Ovie Success, the SSA on Media to the Delta State Governor, expressed disappointment in Davido and Chioma for not attending, highlighting Soberekon's contributions to Davido over the years.
