Dr. Deji Adeleke Donates N500M to Osun Security Fund

Dr. Deji Adeleke, a billionaire businessman and father of music star Davido, donated N500 million to the Osun State security trust fund during its launch on Thursday.

The announcement was made in a statement issued by the spokesperson for Governor Ademola Adeleke, Olawal Rashe. The governor also pledged N300 million to support the initiative, which aims to strengthen security infrastructure across the state.

The fund will facilitate the refurbishment of armored personnel carriers and the acquisition of new patrol vehicles for security agencies. Governor Adeleke emphasized that the project is not politically motivated or self-serving but is essential for the safety of the people.

He assured that the trust fund would be managed with strict accountability and transparency, adhering to due process. The launch follows the passage of a law in 2012 to address security challenges and provide necessary equipment for security operations.
