D'Banj Gifts Campaign Vehicles to Olajengbesi for 2027 Bid

On October 1, 2026, Afrobeats artist D'Banj, whose real name is Dapo Oyebanjo, presented three fully branded Sienna space buses to Pelumi Olajengbesi in Osogbo, Osun State, in support of Olajengbesi's 2027 legislative campaign for the Oriade-Obokun Federal Constituency seat. The donation surprised Olajengbesi, who shared the news on his Instagram on October 2, 2026.

D'Banj had contacted Olajengbesi about two weeks prior, requesting the contact details of his campaign branding team, which Olajengbesi assumed was related to D'Banj's CREAM project aimed at empowering young creatives. Upon receiving the buses, Olajengbesi reached out to D'Banj for clarification, receiving a brief response.

This donation adds D'Banj to a list of notable supporters for Olajengbesi, who previously served as the campaign spokesman for Governor Ademola Adeleke during his re-election bid on August 15, 2026, and had contested the same federal seat in 2019.
