Death Row Inmate Escapes from Yobe Prison, Police Issue Public Alert

Abba Hassan, a death row inmate born in Maiduguri, Borno State, escaped from a maximum-security custodial center in Potiskum, Yobe State. The Yobe State Police Command confirmed the incident, urging the public to provide information for his rearrest.

The police advised residents in Yobe and neighboring states to report any sightings of Hassan and not to confront him. An emergency number was released for information sharing.
