NNPP Spokesperson Clarifies Kwankwaso Did Not Endorse Party Member's Defection to APC

The NNPP spokesperson, Ladipo Johnson, refuted claims that Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso endorsed the defection of a party member to the APC. Johnson clarified during an interview that Kwankwaso's comments were taken out of context and misrepresented to suggest support for defection.

He emphasized that Kwankwaso has not authorized anyone to speak on his behalf regarding defections. Johnson stated that party members are free to leave without involving Kwankwaso's name.

The clarification came after reports alleged that the former Kano State governor endorsed the defection of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf. The NNPP maintains that Kwankwaso's position was distorted to give the impression of supporting defections.
