Labour Party Supports Peter Obi's Defection to ADC for 2023 Elections

The Labour Party, led by Nenadi Usman, has announced its backing for Peter Obi's move to join the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for the 2023 general elections. Usman's special adviser, Ken Asogwa, confirmed the party's support for Obi's participation in coalition talks.

The Labour Party had initially endorsed Obi's decision to join the ADC on May 26, 2025, and remains committed to reclaiming the party from vested interests. Members are assured of a revitalized party following Obi's departure.
