Nigeria's Defence Minister Visits China for Tech Transfer

General Christoph Gwabin Musa (rtd), Nigeria's Defence Minister, led a delegation to China to strengthen defense cooperation and technology transfer. The visit aimed to fast-track the modernization of Nigeria's armed forces and enhance local military production capabilities.

During the engagement, Musa emphasized the importance of a proactive strategy integrating emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, into Nigeria's national security architecture. The delegation toured the headquarters of the China North Industries Corporation (NORINCO) to assess their advanced artillery systems and integrated defense solutions.

A closed-door meeting was held between General Musa and NORINCO's senior executives to discuss concrete technology transfer and the establishment of a joint production line in Nigeria. The Nigerian Embassy in Beijing, represented by Lt.
