Defence Minister Promises Infrastructure Upgrade for NAUB

General Christopher Gwabin Musa (rtd), the Minister of Defence, has reaffirmed the federal government’s commitment to transforming the Nigerian Army University Biu (NAUB) into a leading institution for specialized military and civilian capacity building. During a meeting with the University’s Governing Council at the Ministry’s Headquarters in Abuja, he assured ongoing strategic support for the university.

Musa emphasized the importance of NAUB in equipping personnel with the necessary skills to tackle contemporary security challenges. He announced that the Ministry of Defence would collaborate with the Armed Forces of Nigeria to utilize the 30% admission quota allocated for military personnel.

A significant outcome of the meeting was a commitment to address the university's infrastructural needs, including the construction of a state-of-the-art Centre for Military Performance Management, the first of its kind in Africa. Lt.
