Defence Minister Promises Upgrade for Nigerian Army University

The Honourable Minister of Defence, General Christopher Gwabin Musa (Rtd) OFR, reaffirmed the Federal Government's commitment to transforming the Nigerian Army University Biu (NAUB) into a leading institution for military and civilian capacity building. During a meeting with the University’s Governing Council at the Ministry’s Headquarters in Abuja, General Musa assured ongoing strategic support, highlighting NAUB's role in equipping personnel with necessary expertise to tackle contemporary security challenges.

He announced plans for collaboration with the Armed Forces of Nigeria to utilize the 30% admission quota for military personnel. A significant outcome of the meeting was a joint commitment to address the university's infrastructural needs, including the construction of a state-of-the-art Centre for Military Performance Management, the first of its kind in Africa.

Lt. General Tukur Yusuf Buratai (Rtd) CFR, the Pioneer Pro-Chancellor of NAUB, praised General Musa for his leadership and expressed the university community's commitment to academic excellence and national service.
