Dele Momodu Denies VP Ambition, Backs Political Coalition

Dele Momodu, a media entrepreneur, has refuted claims regarding his ambition to run for vice president alongside former Vice President Atiku Abubakar. In a statement shared on his Facebook page on Thursday, Momodu clarified that he has no intention of contesting in the upcoming elections and described the circulating claims as distractions.

He urged supporters to ignore the rumors, which he initially dismissed as a joke. Instead, Momodu expressed his commitment to supporting a coalition of political parties aimed at ousting the current APC government.

He noted that there are enough leaders within the African Democratic Congress who can contest for positions. As political realignments intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections, Momodu criticized the political discourse, calling for restraint and caution against abusive rhetoric, particularly towards President Bola Tinubu.

He reaffirmed his support for whichever candidate emerges from the coalition, emphasizing the importance of unity among opposition parties.
