Delta State Leads FAAC Allocations with N134.24bn

Delta State topped the Federal Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) disbursements among Nigeria’s 36 states for May and June 2026, receiving a total of N134.24 billion, as reported by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS). Rivers State ranked second with N125.39 billion, narrowly surpassing Lagos, which received N125.06 billion, with a margin of approximately N333 million.
In May, Delta received N67.81 billion but slipped to N66.44 billion in June, a decrease of N1.37 billion. Conversely, Rivers improved from N55.07 billion in May to N70.32 billion in June, driven by increases in both its net statutory allocation and VAT allocation.
Lagos fell from second place in May with N64.71 billion to fourth in June with N60.35 billion, attributed to a decline in its VAT allocation. Akwa Ibom and Bayelsa also saw increases, receiving N115.67 billion and N110.31 billion, respectively.
All top-earning states benefit from the 13 percent derivation fund linked to oil production.
