Dembélé Wins Ligue 1 Player of the Year Again

Ousmane Dembélé, a forward for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), has been awarded the Ligue 1 Player of the Year for the second consecutive year, joining an elite group of players who have won this honor back-to-back, including Zlatan Ibrahimović in 2014. Dembélé's achievement comes as PSG is on the brink of securing their 14th French title, following a 1-0 victory over Brest that places them six points clear of their nearest rival, Lens, with only two games remaining.

Despite facing injury challenges this season, which limited him to just nine matches and 960 minutes of game time compared to 1,736 minutes last season, Dembélé managed to score 10 goals and provide six assists, down from 21 goals and eight assists last year. PSG is also preparing for a Champions League final against Arsenal later this month after edging Bayern Munich 6-5 on aggregate in the semi-finals.

Additionally, Dembélé's teammate Desiré Doué received the Best Young Player award, while Luis Enrique was recognized as the Best Coach.
