Tinubu's Achievements to Be Showcased on Democracy Day

The Federal Government of Nigeria has stated that the upcoming Democracy Day celebration, set for June 12, will highlight the achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. This event aims to demonstrate the government's commitment to democratic ideals and showcase the progress made in consolidating democracy in Nigeria despite ongoing socio-economic challenges.

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) emphasized that Democracy Day is not only a time for reflection on Nigeria's democratic journey but also an opportunity to honor the sacrifices of those who fought for democracy, particularly late Chief Moshood Kashimawo Abiola. The SGF noted that the country's democratic institutions have been built on the sacrifices of patriots and that the annual celebration serves to honor their legacy while assessing the nation's democratic progress.
