Denmark Introduces Working Holiday Visa for Youth

Denmark has launched a working holiday visa program for young citizens from seven countries, providing a legal pathway to live and work in Denmark for an extended period. This initiative is part of bilateral agreements signed with each participating nation.

The visa, according to Denmark's immigration authority, is designed primarily for cultural exchange, allowing young individuals to experience Danish life while working temporarily to fund their stay. Holders of the visa can work for a limited number of months within a 12-month period and may enroll in short educational courses.

However, the permit is generally a one-time opportunity, meaning that individuals who have previously utilized a working holiday residence permit in Denmark are typically ineligible to apply again. The program also allows young Danish citizens to pursue similar opportunities in the seven partner countries, with each country applying its own rules and procedures for applications.
