Denmark Allows 90-Day Work Without Permit for Foreigners

The Danish government has announced a new policy allowing certain categories of foreign workers to enter and work in Denmark for up to 90 days without needing a formal work permit. The eligible categories include: researchers and lecturers invited to teach, foreign nationals working as guest researchers, prospective PhD students undergoing screening for admission, representatives of foreign companies without a branch in Denmark, fitters and consultants for machinery and software, domestic staff for visiting foreign nationals, and professional athletes and coaches participating in a major sporting event.

This initiative aims to facilitate short-term work opportunities across various sectors, benefiting academic visitors, businesses, technical professionals, and households accompanying foreign nationals. The exemptions are designed to streamline the process for foreign workers and enhance Denmark's accessibility for international collaboration and events.
