DHQ Investigates Troop Withdrawal Before School Girls' Abduction in Kebbi

The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) responded to the withdrawal of troops before the abduction of 25 schoolgirls in Kebbi State, launching an investigation into the alleged delay. Governor of Kebbi State raised concerns over security agencies' actions, prompting DHQ to review troop movements.

Major General Michael Onoja assured that the military is fully engaged in operations to rescue the abducted students and apprehend the perpetrators. DHQ emphasized that operational decisions are intelligence-based and aimed at ensuring the safe return of the students, reaffirming their commitment to restoring peace in the affected region.
