DIG Frank Mba Retires After 34 Years of Service

Frank Mba, a Deputy Inspector General of Police, retired on February 24, 2026, after 34 years of service in the Nigeria Police Force. His retirement was announced alongside the screening of seven Assistant Inspectors General (AIGs) by the Police Service Commission (PSC) for promotion to the rank of Deputy Inspector General.

The AIGs invited for the promotion interview include Margareth Ochalla, Kenechukwu Onwuemeli, Ishiaku Moham Zacharia, Fera Achinyan, Zango Ibrahim Baba, Moham Abdul Sulaiman, and Umar Shehu Nadada. In his farewell message, Mba expressed gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for the opportunity to serve the nation during his administration and acknowledged the support he received from the Nigerian people throughout his career.

He emphasized the honor of contributing to the security and stability of the country and thanked the citizens for their trust and encouragement during his tenure.
