NGX Group Reports N20.6bn Profit Amid Digital Growth
The Nigerian Exchange Group Plc (NGX: NGXGROUP) (NGX Group) announced a profit before tax of N20.6 billion for the nine months ending 30 September 2026, reflecting an 83.3% growth from N11.2 billion in the same period of 2025. Profit after tax increased by 86.4% to N14.7 billion, surpassing the Group’s full-year 2025 profit after tax of N10.5 billion with a quarter of the year remaining.
This performance indicates a structural shift in Nigeria’s capital market, with more retail investors engaging through digital self-service channels. Transaction fees more than doubled to N20.7 billion, driven by higher trading volumes and an expanding investor base.
Temi Popoola, Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, stated that the increase in digital investment is creating real wealth for investors. The earnings per share for the period was N5.33, reflecting the enlarged share base following a 1-for-3 bonus issue approved by shareholders in April 2026.
