Interswitch Expands Partnership with KCB Group in Kenya

Interswitch has announced an expansion of its partnership with KCB Group, marking a significant milestone in enhancing digital payment solutions across the East Africa region. The engagement took place at KCB Group's headquarters in Nairobi, led by Interswitch's founder and Group CEO, Mitchel Elegb, alongside a cross-functional delegation from the company, including Bernard Kinara, Interswitch's Kenya Country General Manager.

The discussions focused on reinforcing organizational commitments to scaling digital payment infrastructure and delivering innovative financial solutions to meet the evolving needs of individuals and businesses in the region. Interswitch's recent announcement also includes the expansion of its Verve card acceptance footprint in Kenya, building on its existing partnership with KCB Group, which is Kenya's largest financial services group by assets.

This follows a similar initiative in Uganda with local KCB franchises in February 2022, aimed at strengthening collaboration through the integration of Interswitch's robust payment rails and KCB Group's expanding regional footprint.
