Interswitch Launches Developer Program for 20,000 Interns

Interswitch has initiated a developer program to enhance technological training, selecting 20,000 applicants through a multi-stage process that included technical assessments and interviews. This nine-month program is designed to provide intensive training across several engineering tracks, including backend development, DevOps, mobile development, frontend engineering, and quality assurance.

The program aims to equip participants with the technical skills necessary for today's technology industry. Mitchell Elegbe, the Group Chief Executive Officer of Interswitch, stated that the company is committed to building long-term capacity within Africa's technology ecosystem despite the increasing migration of skilled professionals.

Franklin Ali, the Group Chief Human Resource Officer, emphasized the program's goal to equip young professionals with the technical and adaptive skills needed to succeed in diverse environments. The initiative also aims to address the growing demand for highly skilled engineers in fintech companies, banks, and startups across Nigeria.
