Nkubi's Wife Opens Up About Discrimination in Nigeria's Healthcare System

Vivian, the wife of Victor Nwaogu, popularly known as Nkubi, shared her experience of discrimination within Nigeria's healthcare system during her pregnancy. In an interview with Puls, she recounted how a doctor at a hospital made insensitive remarks during an anomaly scan, inquiring about the family history of dwarfism.

The doctor suggested that instead of conceiving with her husband, she should consider using a sperm donor or involve her brother-in-law. Vivian described the doctor's comments as insensitive and discriminatory, highlighting the prejudice faced by individuals with dwarfism even within the healthcare profession in Nigeria.
