Don Jazzy Addresses Allegations of Artist Favoritism

Don Jazzy, whose real name is Michael Collin Ajereh, has publicly debunked claims that he prioritizes some artists over others at Mavin Records. In a recent episode of the Creators Podcast, he responded to allegations that the label invests in certain artists while neglecting others.

He emphasized that the idea of not prioritizing artists is unfounded, asserting that Mavin Records supports all its artists equally. Don Jazzy explained that artists have the autonomy to decide how many songs they wish to release, and he noted that some artists may feel overlooked due to their own perceptions, which he described as "impostor syndrome." He clarified that the label does not ignore artists and that any perceived neglect is not a reflection of the label's commitment to its roster.

He stated that Mavin Records artists typically release two songs a year, and the decision to release more is ultimately up to the artists themselves.
