Don Jazzy Addresses Mavin Records Favoritism Claims

Don Jazzy, the CEO of Mavin Records, responded to allegations of favoritism within the label during a recent appearance on the Crea8torium podcast. He stated that Mavin Records does not intentionally neglect any of its artists, explaining that it would be counterproductive for a record company to invest resources in an artist only to ignore them afterward.

Don Jazzy noted that the level of activity from artists often depends on individual decisions, as some artists choose to release fewer songs within a year while others may prefer to stay out of the spotlight for a time. He acknowledged the emotional struggles that artists face in the industry, including feelings of self-doubt and fear, which can lead them to believe they are not receiving enough support compared to their peers.

Despite these challenges, Don Jazzy maintained that Mavin Records is open to releasing music from any artist ready to put out a song, emphasizing that there is no reason to hinder an artist's growth and success, as their achievements also benefit the company.
