Call for Federal Action on Nigeria's Power Crisis

Prof. Jeremiah Ojediran, the Vice Chancellor of Bell University of Technology in Ota, Ogun State, called on the Federal Government to invest in stabilizing Nigeria's power supply.

He emphasized that a reliable power supply is crucial for job creation and empowering the youth, which is vital for the country's economic development. During the unveiling of LearnSmart, Ojediran pointed out that many companies are struggling due to the lack of stable power, forcing entrepreneurs to spend excessively on alternative power sources.

He noted that this instability is a significant reason why young people leave the country. Ojediran's remarks were supported by Prof.

Ngozi Arisa, who represented him at the event. Additionally, Mr.

Sanni Adedokun, the founder and CEO of LearnSmart, discussed the company's mission to empower Nigerian youth through digital skills training, aiming to train 10,000 individuals by 2026. He also highlighted the need for improved infrastructure to boost the digital economy.
